World Physical Therapy Day Empowering Lives Through Back Pain Management
World Physical Therapy Day facilitates the celebration of the benefits that physiotherapy brings to the health and quality of life of patients, doctors and other communities every year on the 8th of September. For this year’s theme, we have chosen a problem which is back pain and is struggled by millions of people across the globe. Back pain is recognized as one of the major problems leading to disability and decreased movement and therefore, poses a grave threat. At CASHT (Center for Advanced Science and Health Technology), this day was celebrated and we acknowledge that physiotherapy has an important role in the alleviation and prevention of back pain and other health problems.

Special Guest Speaker: Dr Sohail Kareem PT
We were honored to welcome Sohail Kareem, a renowned physiotherapist, as our guest speaker for this year’s event. He included into his talk the use of modern techniques in treating back pain and raised the possibility of the profession in combating the problem.

Back Pain Definition
For instance, back pain may be unpleasant due to bad posture, a pulled muscle or even more serious problems like disc herniation. Back pain has been found in many individuals, correction, more particularly, persistent or chronic back pain. Day to day activities have been crippled including movement as well as work output. Physiotherapists intervene by first determining the cause of the problem and then developing and implementing specific solutions aimed at normalization of movement and relief of pain.
